Common questions about PKP Kinesiology sessions

What happens in my first PKP kinesiology session?

A first PKP Kinesiology session at Intelligentle Healing in Moorabbin is 75 minutes. Vildan Alihodzic takes a brief history of what you want to address, then uses muscle monitoring to identify where stress or held patterns are creating the most interference in your nervous system. You lie fully clothed on a treatment table. Sessions are calm and structured and no special preparation is needed. Most clients leave noticing a shift but results vary. PKP Kinesiology is a complementary health modality and is not a substitute for medical advice.

What is muscle monitoring and what does it feel like?

Muscle monitoring, sometimes called muscle testing, is a feedback technique used in PKP Kinesiology. The practitioner applies light pressure to a specific muscle while your body is in contact with a particular stimulus or held thought. The muscle's response provides information about where the nervous system is under load and what it is ready to address. It does not hurt and most clients describe it as unusual at first and then settle into it quickly. Muscle monitoring is not a diagnostic tool and cannot detect or assess medical conditions.

How many sessions do I need?

There is no fixed number, many clients notice a shift within their first few PKP Kinesiology sessions. Longer-held patterns, such as chronic burnout or stored stress, typically take more sessions to address. Most clients start with four to eight sessions and reassess from there. Vildan gives an honest read after your first session. A single initial session will tell you whether the work is right for you.

Is kinesiology covered by private health insurance in Australia?

Some Australian private health funds cover kinesiology under natural therapy or complementary health extras, depending on your fund and level of cover. Confirm directly with your insurer. Intelligentle Healing is not an AHPRA-registered provider. PKP Kinesiology sessions are available in person in Moorabbin, Melbourne, and online across Australia.

Do you offer online kinesiology sessions?

Yes. Vildan Alihodzic offers online PKP Kinesiology sessions using surrogate and distance muscle monitoring. Online sessions follow the same Professional Kinesiology Practice framework as in-person sessions and are available to clients anywhere in Australia. They suit people outside Melbourne, particularly those in the Bayside area or those who prefer to work from home.

Who is kinesiology right for?

PKP Kinesiology is well suited to executives and senior professionals dealing with burnout, chronic stress, or nervous system dysregulation, especially where other approaches haven't produced lasting change. If you've got real insight into your patterns but it hasn't changed how you actually feel day to day, this work might be what's been missing. Not the right fit if you're after a quick fix or a passive experience. Clients who commit to the process commonly report a different baseline on the other side.

What is the difference between an initial consultation and a follow-up session?

The initial PKP Kinesiology consultation is 75 minutes ($270) and covers your full history, goals, and a complete first session. It gives Vildan the foundation to understand your nervous system patterns. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes ($220) and build on what's already in motion. Most follow-ups go deeper and move faster as the nervous system becomes familiar with the process.

Do I have to talk about my past or trauma in a session?

No. PKP Kinesiology works with the nervous system directly, not the verbal narrative. You set the themes you want to address, and muscle monitoring identifies what your body needs to release. Nothing needs to be verbalised for the work to be effective. Many clients find this is precisely why it works when talk-based approaches have not: the access point is the body, not the story.

Can kinesiology help with anxiety or nervous system dysregulation?

Yes. Anxiety and dysregulated nervous system patterns are common presentations at Intelligentle Healing in Moorabbin. PKP Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify where the nervous system is stuck in fight-or-flight or shutdown, then applies targeted rebalancing techniques. Clients commonly report reduced reactivity, improved sleep, and capacity to stay regulated under pressure. Results vary. PKP Kinesiology is a complementary health modality and is not a substitute for medical advice.

What should I wear or bring to a session?

Wear comfortable clothing you can lie down in. You'll be fully clothed throughout the session. No special prep needed. Bring any relevant medical history or previous assessments if you'd like Vildan to see them, they're not required.
